We are delighted to announce our participation in the upcoming Biennial Meeting of the European Society for Microcirculation (ESM 2025), taking place in Szeged, Hungary, from May 19–22, 2025. The event will be held at the József Attila Study and Information Centre of the University of Szeged.
This long-standing international conference, organized by the European Society for Microcirculation, has been a key event in the field since 1959, taking place in major cities across Europe. This year, the Hungarian Society for Microcirculation and Vascular Biology (MMVBT) is proud to host the meeting, sharing the organization of the event with the Hungarian, Croatian and Slovenian Physiological Societies, highlighting regional research in microvascular physiology.

From Brain Function to Microvessels: Functional Ultrasound and Super-Resolution Vascular Imaging with Iconeus One.
As part of the Pre-Conference Course, Iconeus is pleased to be hosting a dedicated symposium titled: :
“From Brain Function to Microvessels: Functional Ultrasound and Super-Resolution Vascular Imaging with Iconeus One.”
Join us on May 19 at 2:30 PM for a 30-minute session presented by our Scientific Application Specialist, Pia Pelaez.
The presentation will showcase how functional ultrasound (fUS) and ultrasound localization microscopy (ULM) together offer a powerful, non-invasive approach to studying neurovascular function and microvascular architecture.
Topics to be covered at the conference include:
- Task-evoked brain activation
- Dynamic functional connectivity mapping
- In vivo angiography
We will also highlight recent advances such as volumetric (3D) imaging and the application of ULM in visualizing functional hyperemia and microvascular remodeling.
We look forward to seeing you in Szeged!
