On 28 October 2019, Iconeus sponsored and participated in the workshop “Functional Ultrasound Imaging of the Brain – fUSbrain 2019”, organized by the Institut d’Etudes Scientifiques de Cargèse in Corsica.
The ‘fUSbrain 2019’ workshop brought together over 60 physicists, biologists and clinicians at the beautiful location in Cargèse, Corsica, to share their knowledge and latest advances on different aspects of functional ultrasound imaging of the brain, from technical developments to fundamental and clinical research.
The theme of the conference was to link disparate neuroscience concepts on the spatial and temporal scales, using experimentation, computing and visualization to investigate some of the most intriguing problems in brain science.
Discussions included state-of-the-art research in computational sciences, experimental procedures and visualization approaches that investigate phenomena in biomechanics and mechanobiology through a multiscale perspective, or provide efficient, coarse-grained descriptions at the same scale. Emphasis was placed on novel techniques in computing, experimentation and visualization, multidisciplinary research approaches that demonstrate successful synergies, as well as experimental and visualization techniques that inspire and support computational models.
