New Application Specialist with engineering and neuroscience expertise joins Iconeus team.

The number of staff at Iconeus continues to grow, and in May we were delighted to welcome to our team Haleh Soleimanzad, Ph.D.

Haleh arrives with a wealth of experience, having completed courses in Engineering and Biomedical Engineering, carried out Ph.D. research into optical imaging of functional activation and, most recently, completed a postdoc with Iconeus founder Mickael Tanter, Ph.D., into the use of functional ultrasound to understand brain pathophysiologies.

As our new Applications Specialist, Haleh will be using her experience of biomedicine, engineering and functional ultrasound to help neuroscientists appreciate what fUS could offer their research, and to help them integrate it into their labs. In addition, she’ll be helping customers to configure and install their fUS systems, and be a point of contact for any technical queries.

Ludovic Lecointre, Pharm.D., CEO and co-founder of Iconeus, said:

“Having been a postdoc in Mickael Tanter’s group, Haleh was clearly going to be an excellent addition to our team here at Iconeus, so we were delighted that she accepted our job offer and is now our newest Application Specialist. We’re certain that her combination of expertise across the engineering and neuroscience fields will prove valuable to both us and our customers as we forge ahead with bringing functional ultrasound to a wider audience”.
