Iconeus to demonstrate fUS equipment at the first ISBUS conference

From 8–11 December this year, we’ll be a platinum sponsor at the first International Symposium on Biomolecular Ultrasound and Sonogenetics (ISBUS), held at Caltech in California. If you’re attending, we look forward to demonstrating the operation of Iconeus One, and talking about how fUS could help your research.

It’s not often that a new conference series in your own specialist area is set up, but that’s exactly what’s happened this year, with the launch of the first International Symposium on Biomolecular Ultrasound and Sonogenetics (ISBUS). The event will take place on 8–11 December 2022 at Caltech in Pasadena, California – and we’ll be there!

Iconeus is platinum sponsor for the event, which is organized by a non-profit educational organization, the Biomolecular Ultrasound and Sonogenetics Conference Organization (BUSCO). As will be evident, the focus of the conference is very close to our own interests at Iconeus – so as soon as we heard about it, we made sure we booked places. The conference organizers say that the event will “bring together researchers pursuing biomolecular and genetic approaches to ultrasonic imaging and control of cellular function, with applications in biological research and medicine”.

As well as a talk on Friday 9 December given by our founder and Senior Scientific Advisor Mickael Tanter, our Scientific Application Specialist Soumee Bhattacharya will be running demonstrations on Iconeus One showing how it’s used, and the principles of determining sensory-evoked neural activity in mice using fUS. These sessions should be a really good way of showing attendees how easy our equipment is to set up, and we’re expecting them to get fully booked up!

So if you’re going to be at ISBUS this year, please make yourself known to us, and we’ll look forward to talking about your research and exploring options for how fUS could help you.

Would you like to book a slot to talk to Soumee at ISBUS 2022? Let us know a suitable time, and we’ll be in touch.
